Poster for the exhibition 'Sea, Mountain and Norito Shinmura' at the Ginza Graphic Gallery (ggg) in Tokyo, 2010. The poetic designs of the Japanese graphic designer revolve around the themes of nature, environment and ecology.

Shinmura grew up as the eighth child in a fishing family on Ukashima, a small island in the Seto Inland Sea with a circumference of 8 km. There, he spent a formative childhood and adolescence immersed in nature. This experience sensitized him to issues of nature, the environment, and ecology. After graduating from Osaka Designer's College, he worked at Shin Matsunaga Design Inc. and founded the Shinmura Design Office in 1995. He has won numerous awards for his environmentally conscious work.
