These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter „GTC“) of Tokoro KLG apply to all services and products of Tokoro’s online shop.
Tokoro operates this shop and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products, and services, to provide you (hereinafter “Customer”) with a personalized shopping experience (“Services”). Tokoro is based on the Shopify e-commerce platform, which enables Tokoro to provide you with the Services. By visiting, interacting with, or using our Services, you agree to these GTC and our Privacy Policy (LINK). If you do not agree to these GTC or the Privacy Policy, you may not use or access our Services.
1. Scope
The following GTC apply to all legal transactions concluded via the Tokoro KLG online shop, www.tokoro.ch, (hereinafter “Tokoro”).
By submitting an order, the customer accepts these GTC. Any deviating terms and conditions of the customer shall not apply unless Tokoro expressly agrees to them in writing.
Tokoro reserves the right to change these GTC at any time. The version of the GTC valid at the time of the order is decisive and cannot be changed unilaterally for the order.
2. Offer
The offer is aimed at customers residing in Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and neighbouring European countries.
The products presented in the online shop do not constitute a legally binding offer, but rather a non-binding invitation to place an order. The offer is valid while stocks last. If an item is no longer available, customers will be informed immediately. Prices and product ranges are subject to change at any time. The images shown in advertisements and in the online shop are for illustration purposes only and are not binding.
We endeavor to present our products and services in our online shop as accurately as possible. However, we would like to point out that the colours, materials, shape, size, and weight of the products may vary.
All dimensions, weights, specifications, and images of the products in the online shop and on the homepage are for illustrative purposes only and are not binding. Tokoro may change the description, technical specifications, and prices of the products at any time.
3. Conclusion of contract
By clicking on the “Buy now” order button, the customer submits a binding offer to conclude a purchase contract. After submitting the order, the customer automatically receives a confirmation of receipt documenting that the order has been received by Tokoro. After receiving this confirmation of receipt, the customer can no longer change the order and is bound by it. The purchase contract is only concluded when Tokoro confirms the shipment of the goods by email with an order or shipping confirmation, or at the latest upon delivery of the goods.
4. Ordering
Tokoro cannot guarantee the continuous availability of the products offered. Despite order confirmation, it may happen that ordered products can no longer be delivered. If the goods are not in stock, Tokoro will notify you of the next possible delivery date by email. Partial delivery is possible, and any additional delivery costs incurred as a result of partial delivery will be borne by Tokoro. If a product is no longer available, the order will be canceled and the amount paid will be refunded. In the event of a long delay in delivery, the customer has the right to cancel the ordered item or switch to another item. The payment made will be refunded.
5. Price
All prices in the online shop are in Swiss francs (CHF) and do not include VAT. In addition to the prices quoted, shipping costs may apply, which are clearly indicated during the ordering process (see “Shipping”). The prices quoted at the time of ordering are binding. We expressly reserve the right to change prices. The price in the online shop at the time of ordering is decisive.
6. Delivery
During the ordering process, the customer can choose between two delivery options:
- Pickup: The ordered products can be collected at the store in Zurich. The customer will receive a pickup invitation as soon as the order is ready for pickup. Products collected from our store must be checked immediately for correctness, completeness and condition. Claims made after pickup are void and will not be considered by Tokoro.
- Home delivery: Orders are usually shipped by Swiss Post within 1-3 business days after the order is placed. Shipping is made to the shipping address given by the customer.
Tokoro ships within Switzerland and to neighbouring countries.
Switzerland and Liechtenstein
Deliveries to CH/LIE are free of charge for orders over CHF 100 (economy shipping).
For orders under CHF 100, shipping costs are CHF 9 (Economy: delivery in 2-4 business days) or CHF 11 (Priority: delivery in 1-2 business days).
Europe ZONE 1
Deliveries within Europe Zone 1 (Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Great Britain, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Austria)
Shipping costs for Europe Zone 1 are calculated individually for each order. They depend on the size of the order and are shown and charged to the customer when the order is completed (see Shipping).
7. Terms of payment
Orders are delivered as soon as the payment is fully received. Tokoro accepts the following payment methods:
Visa, MasterCard, Amex, and bank transfer
Credit card payments are processed via the Shopify payment service. The data is sent to Shopify in encrypted form and processed there. No credit card details are stored on our website.
8. Retention of title
The ordered items remain the property of Tokoro until the purchase price has been paid in full.
9. Sale of alcohol
Alcoholic beverages are sold exclusively to persons who have reached the legal minimum age for purchasing alcohol in their country. By ordering alcoholic beverages, the customer undertakes to ensure that the delivery is accepted by a person of legal age.
10. Warranty / Guarantee
All items are checked before shipping and leave the store in perfect condition. The customer must check the order immediately upon receipt and report any defects in writing (by email to: hello@tokoro.ch) within 3 business days of delivery of the goods. Tokoro will examine each individual case to determine how the defect is to be classified. After the third working day, the goods are considered to have been accepted without complaint.
Deviations in structure and color are unavoidable with certain materials (wood, ceramics, leather, textiles, etc.) and do not generally justify complaints or warranty claims. Normally, no guarantee can be given for the lightfastness of colours in wood, leather, plastic, and textiles. Some items may contain minor irregularities or variations in color, shape, size, weight, etc. (e.g., ceramics) and may differ slightly from the images. This is due to the handcrafted nature of the items and manufacturing processes that cannot be fully controlled. Such irregularities cannot be considered defects. The images are for reference only; the items may differ slightly from the images.
Vintage items:
Tokoro also sells second-hand objects. Vintage items are all second-hand and show signs of wear and tear. Tokoro makes every effort to describe and photograph the items in accordance with their condition. However, it is the buyer's responsibility to view the photos, read the description, and satisfy themselves as to the condition of the item in question.
The warranty is therefore excluded to the extent permitted by law. Tokoro does not provide any guarantee; the items are sold “as seen.” Claims for damages are excluded.
Works of art:
We stand behind our range of art and sell it to the best of our knowledge and belief. However, we do not provide expert opinions on the works. If a buyer proves to us that a product we have sold is a forgery or a copy, we will take the work back and refund the purchase price including shipping costs. This warranty period is one year from the date of purchase. The burden of proof lies with the buyer. The warranty only applies to the original buyer. Subsequent owners of the work cannot make any claims against Tokoro.
11. Exchanges/Returns
Items ordered that do not meet expectations must be returned within 10 days of receipt. Returns are only accepted in their original condition, including their original packaging. The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs. A copy of the delivery note or invoice must be enclosed with the return shipment. A note stating the reason for the return is mandatory.

The right of return is excluded for reduced goods (sale items) or for vintage items and antiques. Furniture by Tendo Mokko, which is made to order, is expressly excluded from the right of return. If a return or exchange is made as a gesture of goodwill, a voucher for the amount paid (excluding delivery costs) will be issued. All further claims are excluded.
12. Liability
Any liability for indirect or consequential damages arising from use, misuse or failure of products delivered by Tokoro is excluded.
13. Privacy statement
Personal data is used exclusively for processing payments, ensuring delivery, internal analysis, or sending newsletters, which can be unsubscribed from at any time. The online shop is operated using the Shopify e-commerce platform. When using the shop, personal data is processed via Shopify's systems to the extent necessary for processing orders. Tokoro does not pass on any data to third parties (see “Privacy Policy”).
14. Copyright
All photos, images, and texts are subject to copyright and are the property of Tokoro. Any use of this content for commercial or personal purposes is not permitted.
15. Applicable law
Swiss law applies exclusively. The place of jurisdiction is Aarau.
