These simple, traditionally handcrafted coasters made from Shuro palm have a pleasantly organic texture, are lightweight, and their natural, unobtrusive structure always remains in the background. Shuro palm fibers are extremely durable and heat-resistant, protecting tabletops from hot pans, kettles, trays, and baking dishes. The simple construction using high-quality, natural materials also makes the coaster completely biodegradable. Includes a hanging loop.

Takada was founded in Wakayama in 1948. Besides scrubbing brushes for bathrooms and kitchens, they also produce brooms and coasters. Takada's goal is to preserve Japan's traditional shuro palm industry and the unique craftsmanship techniques passed down through generations for future generations.
