The Japanese porcelain manufacturer Kihara, based in Arita, the birthplace of Japanese porcelain, was founded in 1955 and today combines 400-year-old craftsmanship with 3D design and high-tech.
Furniture and product designer Makoto Koizumi founded Koizumi Studios in Tokyo in 1990. His award-winning designs range from chopstick rests and furniture to larger architectural projects.
