'Shichita' Rice Bowl with Cat Motif | Yamakatsu Minotoen

A must-have for all cat fans: Rice bowl featuring the peeking cat heads of Shichita and his four cat friends.
Japanese rice bowls, or chawan, are small and fit perfectly into the palm of your hand. This allows one hand to hold the rice bowl while the other maneuvers the chopsticks.

According to legend, the stray kitten Shichita wandered into a Minoyaki pottery workshop on July 7th and was subsequently named Shichita. The name Shichita is a pun, another reading for Tanabata 七夕, the Star Festival, which is celebrated on July 7th.
