Furoshiki are traditional Japanese square cotton cloths used for wrapping and carrying various items.
Size S Furoshiki are ideal for wrapping a lunch box, paperbacks, jam jars or perfume bottles. The cherry blossom is Japan's most beloved flower and a symbol of spring.
Traditionally, printed textiles are usually dyed only on one side, while the reverse side remains slightly faded or unprinted. However, together with experienced artisans and the design studio Isa Monyo, Musubi has developed a technique for producing double-sided Furoshiki with different colours. This series is characterised by unparalleled craftsmanship.
Musubi is the main brand of Yamada-Sen'i, a company founded in Kyoto in 1937, and stands for modern Furoshiki. The name Musubi (結び) means 'to tie' or 'to connect' and refers to the art of tying as well as the connection between people, things and tradition.
