Light, handy and comfortable: The Ring Stool brings a touch of retro charm into the home with its colorful seat. Designed by Tendō Mokkō founding member Tokukichi Katō during his time as factory manager, originally for his craftsmen, the work stool soon became a popular seating object outside the factory as well. Since its market launch, the Ring Stool has been a solid public success for Tendō Mokkō.
Tokukichi Katō was one of the pioneers in the introduction of molded plywood technique in Japan. In 1968, he became president of Tendō Mokkō. In 1978, he was awarded the Yellow Ribbon Medal of Honor in Japan.
