KOTEN ORIGAMI Set | Cochae

Pure Shōwa nostalgia! The classic Japanese origami series KOTEN contains six traditional lucky patterns of cranes, turtles, frogs, cicadas, a traditional helmet, and the lucky doll Fukusuke. In this set, Cochae brings together well-known origami motifs from the early Showa period and supplements it with two of their own creations, the helmet and cicada motifs.

The design duo Cochae, consisting of Yosuke Chikuhara and Miki Takeda from Okayama, creates products that surprise and delight while preserving the traditional culture of Japan. They intensively explore the theme of "Design for Play" and, with their unique design language, catapult Japan's traditions into the 21st century.
