These unscented Japanese candles (warosoku) are made from natural wax of the Haze tree (sumac) and contain special purifying salt. Each candle is handmade and finished with a washi paper wick.
The flame of these candles produces a beautifully warm, deep orange and creates a peaceful, harmonious atmosphere.

Haze is a manufacturer of Japanese Warosoku candles based in Kawagoe, Saitama Prefecture. Haze candles are handcrafted by skilled artisans using the ancient Japanese technique of "Tegake-seiho," which involves applying wax in multiple layers. The candles are made from the Haze (Sumac) plant, the fruit of the Japanese wax tree. This natural material produces a powerful flame with very little soot.
