These unscented Japanese candles (warosoku) are made from natural wax of the Haze tree (sumac) and contain special salt for purification. Each candle is handmade and fitted with a Washi paper wick.
The flame of these candles produces a beautiful warm, deep orange and creates a peaceful, harmonious atmosphere.

Haze is a manufacturer of Japanese Warosoku candles based in Kawagoe, Saitama Prefecture. Haze candles are made by experienced artisans using the ancient Japanese technique "Tegake-seiho," where wax is applied in multiple layers. The candles are made from the namesake Haze plant (Sumac), the fruit of the Japanese wax tree. This natural material creates a powerful flame with very low soot production.
