Kazumasa Nagai 永井一正 | Ikko Tanaka - A Retrospective

Kazumasa Nagai is an award-winning poster artist whose works have been exhibited in numerous museums. His career began in the early 1950s when he designed flyers and posters for a textile manufacturer in Osaka. In 1960, he started working at the newly founded Nippon Design Center in Tokyo. The center is now one of Japan's largest and most influential design companies. Over time, his style evolved from abstract, geometric compositions to figurative works, with animals – both real and fictional – finding their way into his art.
