At first glance, Futagami's bottle openers don't look like bottle openers at all, but rather like art objects. However, they not only fulfill their purpose with style but with surprising ease, making opening a bottle a celebratory act. Kampai! The simple yet striking Frame opener is polished on the outside and left raw on the inside. Over time, the color of the metal changes due to oxidation: the longer brass objects are used, the richer and finer the surface becomes.

Masanori Oji, a designer and architect born in Hiroshima, creates timeless everyday objects using traditional Japanese craftsmanship.

The brass foundry Futagami was founded in 1897 in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture. In Japan, brass was primarily used for metal fittings in furniture making, architecture, shipbuilding, and handicrafts, as well as for Buddhist altar furnishings.
