Folding Fan | Minoya Senpo

'Sensu' folding fans are a special, traditional Kyoto craft. The high-quality folding fans from fan/fun are also handmade in Kyoto. The fan frame is made of Japanese bamboo, cut into thin slices, and the fan surface consists of three different layers of Japanese paper. The light, practical folding fans are perfect for cooling down in the summer heat and make a beautiful accessory.

Minoya Senpo was founded in Kyoto in 1894 and launched the new brand fan/fun in 2017, in collaboration with design studio niwa. This brand combines traditional Kyoto craftsmanship with fresh colors and designs.
