'Sensu' folding fans are a special, traditional craft from Kyoto. The high-quality fan/fun folding fans are also handmade in Kyoto. The fan frame is made of Japanese bamboo, cut into thin slices, and the fan surface consists of three different layers of Japanese paper. These lightweight, practical folding fans are perfect for cooling off in the summer heat and make a beautiful accessory.

Minoya Senpo was founded in Kyoto in 1894 and launched the new brand fan/fun in 2017 in collaboration with the design studio niwa. This brand combines traditional Kyoto craftsmanship with fresh colors and designs.
