Large Kurawanka Bowl (Donburi)

Large bowl, versatile for donburi dishes, pasta, and salads.

The name "Kurawanka" originates from the Edo period, when merchants on the Yodo River offered their food from tea boats with the call "kurawanka?" ("Would you like to eat?"). They served it in large, thick-walled bowls with a high foot – a shape that is still known today as a "Kurawanka" bowl.

Hasami porcelain has been produced for 400 years in the pottery town of Hasami, Nagasaki Prefecture.
