The original Crinkle plate imitates crumpled paper, making the plate appear airy and light. The dish is suitable for fruit and aperitif snacks or as a decorative element on the table, but is also perfect for main courses or as a dessert platter.
Ceramic Japan Co., Ltd. was founded in 1973 in Seto, Aichi Prefecture, with the aim of producing sophisticated designs using traditional craftsmanship. From the beginning, Ceramic Japan planned and developed products in collaboration with designers from various fields (not just ceramics) and achieved innovative and artistic results that embody a perfect fusion of design and skill.
Seto remains an important production site for porcelain, ceramics, and earthenware to this day. So important, in fact, that the general term for ceramics in Japanese is simply "setomono."
