Choku or choko, a traditional Japanese eating or drinking vessel, is generally a small ceramic cup for soba broth. Originating in Arita in the 17th century, these small pots became popular collector's items over the centuries. With the CHOKU series, Amabro has reinterpreted a classic tableware shape with traditional patterns. Originally intended for soba or sake, the vessels can be used as desired for hot or cold drinks, small dishes, or desserts.

True to their motto "Art in Everyday Life," Amabro designs stylish everyday objects for modern living, using traditional Japanese elements as a foundation, reinterpreting them, or combining them with modern details. For the choku, modern, graphic designs are layered over traditional, classic patterns. A cool mix that brings Arita's 400-year-old porcelain tradition to the contemporary dining table.
