A Chashaku ("tea spoon") is an essential utensil in the Japanese tea ceremony and is used for precise portioning of matcha powder.

For a standard bowl of Usucha (thin matcha), mix two chashaku of matcha powder with 70 to 80 ml of hot water (approx. 80°C). For a more intense flavour, use 3-4 chashaku.
