Square wooden confectionery plate from the KITO product line

The flat, square confectionery plate is particularly suitable for Wagashi, Japanese sweets, as these are not too oily or creamy. But Western confectionery also looks great on it. The simple plates with intense grain and yet calm appearance exude warmth, and thanks to the recessed base, they appear light and floating. The wooden plate is not only beautiful to look at but also lovely to touch, and due to the varying grain, each piece is unique. The surface is sealed with liquid glass, but it is still not recommended to place overly oily or watery sweets directly on it. To clean the surface, wipe with a wrung-out cloth.

Aizawa Mokuzaikogei was founded in 1947 in Wajima, Ishikawa Prefecture, as a woodturning workshop for lacquerware. The Kito series, which means "With Trees" in German, expresses gratitude to the forests and is named after the idea of spending everyday life with trees.
