The Act/ collection consists of twelve handmade porcelain objects that, when hung on the wall, resemble small works of art. Each piece highlights a specific processing method. The characteristic of Act/8 scab are the coin-sized, blue-coloured circles. They are made by applying round clay pieces to the body and decorating them with paint before the clay dries. A technique called Mochaware. Each pattern is unique and almost seems to be in motion.
All Act/ objects have a recess on the back so that they can be hung on a nail.

Ceramic Japan Co., Ltd. was founded in 1973 in Seto, Aichi Prefecture, with the aim of producing highly sophisticated designs using traditional craftsmanship. From the beginning, Ceramic Japan planned and developed products in collaboration with designers from various fields (not just ceramics) and achieved innovative and artistic results that embody a perfect fusion of design and skill.
Seto remains an important production site for porcelain, ceramics and stoneware to this day. So important that the general term for ceramics in Japanese is simply called "setomono".
