Wall object Act/1 hollow | Ceramic Japan

The Act/ collection consists of twelve handmade porcelain objects that look like small works of art when hung on the wall. Each piece highlights a specific processing method. The characteristic feature of Act/1 hollow is the central opening on the front, the edge of which is slightly distorted by hand. This allows the object to also be used as a wall vase.
All Act/ objects have a recess on the back so that they can be hung on a nail.

Ceramic Japan Co., Ltd. was founded in 1973 in Seto, Aichi Prefecture, with the aim of producing highly sophisticated designs using traditional craftsmanship. From the beginning, Ceramic Japan planned and developed products in collaboration with designers from various fields (not just ceramics) and achieved innovative and artistic results that embody a perfect fusion of design and skill.
Seto remains an important production site for porcelain, ceramics and stoneware to this day. So important that the general term for ceramics in Japanese is simply called "setomono".
