For manga and ukiyo-e lovers!
Hokusai Manga is one of the masterpieces of Katsushika Hokusai (1760–1849), one of Japan's most famous artists. Originally published in 1814 as a sketchbook, it served as a reference work for aspiring artists, but soon surpassed this purpose and became a bestseller. Over the next few decades, 14 more volumes followed, containing over 4,000 illustrations across 970 pages.
This modern, newly arranged, but complete reprint in compact paperback format presents in concentrated form all the themes, motifs and drawing techniques that can be found in Hokusai's art.
Volume 3, Fanciful, Mythical and Supernatural , shows depictions from the world of fantasy, of legends and fairy tales, and of gods, spirits and other beings.
