Sheet minimally browned.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp class=\"\"\u003eBorn and raised in Japan, Yoshikawa initially studied English literature in Tokyo before transferring in 1958 to what is now the University of Tsukuba for a master's degree in architecture and product design. In 1961, she moved to Germany and, as the only woman and one of the few students from Japan, began her studies at the renowned Ulm School of Design. Two years later, she moved to Zurich and worked in the studio of the Swiss designer Josef Müller-Brockmann, whom she married in 1967.
